Gerald “Jerry” Van Every passed away December 20, 2022, after a long, well-lived life.  Jerry was born in Lapeer, Michigan in 1938.  Jerry enlisted in the Air Force at age 17 and served over twenty years.  A proud Vietnam Vet, Jerry enjoyed traveling the world and living life to the fullest.  His travels took him to The Philippines, Turkey, Iceland, Europe, Columbia, Canada, Mexico, Okinawa, Panama and most of the fifty states.  Included in his many adventures were boar-hunting in Turkey and parasailing in Monaco at age 74.   
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Myrtle “Punky” Van Every and his daughter, Lori Anderson of Washington.  He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Betty Van Every; four children, Heather Owen of Texas, Wendy Tucker of California, Scott Van Every of Great Falls, Montana and Robin Collier of Oregon; and his brother, Mick Van Every of Michigan.  He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life is being planned for May, 2023.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry’s name may be made to Peace Hospice (Benefis Health System Foundation Online Payment | Online Payment Demo (securepayment.link).
